Fuji Announces S5 Pro Digital Camera


Fuji has just announced the long-awaited successor the the FinePix S3 Pro. Skipping the S4 designation since the number 4 is considered unlucky in Japanese, the new camera will be named the S5 Pro. The new camera is based on the Nikon D200 body and features 12.3 megapixels, increased dynamic range, 3 new film simulation modes, and reduced noise at high ISO, among other features. More Info...

Seitz Camera Delivers 160 megapixels, 300MB raw data per second

Seitz of Switzerland has released the world's highest resolution camera.

What few thought possible has now come true: wide-format digital photography. With a resolution of 7,500 pixels vertically and 21,250 pixels horizontally this camera creates a 160 million pixel image.

This substantial resolution makes it possible to create high quality reproductions. A variety of different formats is possible: 6x6, 6x9, 6x15 or a full 6x17 panorama. No limits for high definition photography!

Adobe Camera RAW 3.5 Available

Adobe recently released an update to their FREE Camera RAW software plug-in for Adobe Photoshop CS2, adding support for 5 new camera models. More info and download.

At the same time, Adobe announced a new version of their DNG converter, which converts RAW format images to the Adobe Digital Negative File Format. The new converter also works as a universal binary for Intel-based Macintosh computers. More info and download.

Pentax Announces K10D - New 10.2MP Semi-Pro DSLR

Pentax has just announced the new Pentax K10D digital SLR camera with 10 megapixels of resolution and a host of advanced technologies including anti-shake reduction, weather sealing and a dust removal system. This camera looks to be a very interesting new addition to the digital SLR world and will ship in November for a price of only US $899.95.
